Little known fact about me: I love musicals. When I was a kid, many of my summers were spent watching the American Movie Classics channel. I've seen nearly every musical you can think of, from the black and whites to the technicolor. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were my Beyoncé and Jay-Z dream team. To this day, I will stop flipping tv channels if I spot one.

My all-time favorite musical? Singin' In The Rain. It can literally...

Harwood District’s DJ Brunch Series took Brunchlust to one of the best patios in Dallas for one of our favorite combinations, brunch and music!

Every Saturday for a limited time, Harwood District’s DJ Brunch Series rotates between participating locations in the neighborhood while pairing brunch and bubbly with beats from some of Dallas’ best DJs. For this week’s session, a jazz saxophonist accompanied the DJ’s selections.

A group of 24 friends got together to test out Bijou Belle's first ever brunch event on January 29th. We paid $40 each for this mobile dining experience and filled up the entire bus in days. I'm a big fan of brunch. I go at least once a month, even if it's by myself, and my brunch group has been brunching since 2010. It's awesome to get together with a group of people and eat, drink and be merry.  That said, I have high standards for brunch, not only for the food (if they don'...

Brunchlusters, if you know like we know, brunch isn’t just a meal. It’s a lifestyle. Especially in Dallas. The city’s collective love for all things brunch was the inspiration that brought together hundreds of attendees to ‘The Morning After, a Dallas Observer Brunch Event’ last weekend.

The sold out, inaugural event held at Dallas Farmers Market was billed as ‘a Brunch Sampling event that will feature bites from local brunch h...

Events that revolve around the concept of brunch and brunch related items (like mimosas!) are automatically going to grab my attention. After all, I AM Brunchlust. And I also am a fan of the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. FUN FACT: Did you know that Deep Ellum was first named Deep Elm? Because of the deep southern drawl of Texans, Elm ended up sounding like "ell'um" so hence the name was officially changed. That's why you'll see s...
