Perfect 10 at Nickel and Rye

Hello Brunchlusters! Before we launched the blog, we have done a lot of brunches at a lot of places. One that keeps receiving Brunchlust’s attention is Nickel and Rye.

With a fabulous patio located right on McKinney Avenue in Uptown Dallas, Nickel is not only a great place for brunch. It’s also a great place for people watching!

I probably visit Nickel at least once per month. Between their great food, service/staff (they seriously rock) and location, Nickel is a solid standout on the Dallas brunch scene. I visited during the Texas/OU and enjoyed watching the game with a lively crowd.

I’ve tried several dishes on their brunch menu, but for this review I opted for the cheeseburger. The chicken and waffles that my BFF had is another solid item on their menu (separate plates for me when I order it though!).

Chicken and Waffles!
Cheeseburger....hangover cure!

On to the cocktails….because as you know…brunch without cocktails is just a sad breakfast! If you’re a champagne brunch cocktail connoisseur, you will find that Nickel has something to wet your palette. From the by the glass...to the shareable standard brunch carafe and the half liter brunch carafe to the build your own bubbles bar. The latter is complete with fruit/garnishments and your choice of juices.

PLUS, brunch is served here on Saturday and Sunday from open until 3 p.m…in case that hangover kept you in bed later than you anticipated.

I really cannot say enough about this place. Go.

Brunchlust Rating: A Solid standout on the Dallas brunch scene. Really a ‘must do’.
