Did you know there isn't a word in Spanish for Brunch? It's called Desayuna Tardio, which translates to "Late Breakfast". We at Brunchlust know that brunch is so much more than that and while I was in Barcelona this summer, I found a restaurant that agrees!
Milk Bar & Bistro caters to the American bruncher. Here you can find traditional breakfast items such as Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Omelets, Hash Brown Potatoes and Pancakes. I opted for the Eggs Florentine with Bacon and Hash Brown Potatoes. It was delicious and tasted like home!
My drink of choice to complement by meal was the Pink Flamenco which is made with Absolut Raspberri, Rosé and Pink Grapefruit Juice. So refreshing! And for only 4.50 Euros which equals to be $5 USD (at the time of print). Can't beat a huge meal and inexpensive cocktails in a cozy setting! As you can see I only came out of pocket 16.25 Euros = $18 USD before gratuities!
Milk Bar & Bistro is located in the Barri Gotic area in Barcelona. It's kind of easy to miss since it's tucked away in a narrow alley. Once inside the place seats a maximum of 30-40 people. Brunch hours are from 9am to 4:30pm. Be prepared for a wait if you happen to show up on the weekends during the busiest times (10am - 1pm). But it's so worth it.
