Contrary to popular belief, the brunch culture in NYC is quickly evolving and Sundays are becoming the new Fridays in NYC!  Harlem is at the height of its resurgence and one of the restaurants that has added a unique flair to below 125th Street is the Angel of Harlem.   Angel of Harlem is located in the heart of Harlem's NEW Restaurant Row and was my choice for a Sunday brunch on a balmy Sunday afternoon.

Angel of Harlem's fare is a mix of Caribbean and Southern.  I chose the Caribbean route and went with the national dish of Jamaica Ackee and Saltfish.   Angel of Harlem's Ackee & Saltfish came with 4 fried plaintains. On a scale of 5 stars, i give this dish a 7.  It was delicious, flavorful and coated my stomach for the Bottomless Mimosas!

Yes, Bottomless Rum Punch, Sangrias and Mimosas.  And they were only $20!

I highly recommend Angel of Harlem if you happen to be saying in Harlem or even in NYC for the weekend!
